Save & Progress in SureForms
This Feature Is Part of Pro+ Plan
Overview
The Save & Progress feature enables users to save their form progress partway through completion and resume later using a secure, time-limited link. This improves form completion rates and enhances user experience for long or complex forms.
Feature Activation
- From the WordPress dashboard, go to SureForms → Single Form Settings.

- Click on the Save & Progress tab.

- Turn on the Save & Progress toggle to enable the feature.

- Once enabled, related settings such as Resume Link Label and Confirmation Message will appear for customisation.

Frontend User Flow
1. Initiating Save & Progress
When a visitor is filling out a form on the frontend:
- They can click the Save & Progress link

- A modal window opens, prompting the user for their email and showing the resume options.

2. Resume URL
- Upon action, a secure Resume URL is generated.
- Users can use this link to return and complete their form.
- The link remains valid for 30 days from generation.

3. Email Delivery of the Resume Link
- If the user chooses to receive the link via email:
- They must enter their email address in the provided field.
- The system sends an email with the resume link.

After submission of the email for the resume link:
- A success screen appears, confirming that the link has been sent to the user’s inbox.
- The confirmation message can be customized in the form settings.

Email Template
The email sent to the user includes:
- A friendly greeting and thank-you message.
- Clear instructions for resuming the form.
- A Resume Form button linked to the secure URL.
Expiry & Security
- Resume links are secure and expire after 30 days.
- Each link is uniquely generated for the user and linked to their form progress.
Example End-to-End Use Case
- A user fills out some fields in a long form but can’t complete it immediately.
- They click Save & Progress.
- The resume modal appears with a secure link.
- They input their email and request the link.
- The user receives a confirmation message and an email with the resume link.
- Using the link, the user can return from any device and complete the form later.
